How buying works.

1. Browse or search. Filter by category, price, distance from your ZIP, or condition.
2. Save favorites. Heart the ones you like. Get notified if the price drops.
3. Message the seller. Ask questions, request more photos, arrange a pickup time.
4. Pay securely. Click "Buy Now" → Stripe Checkout. Your card is charged but funds are held.
5. Pick up & confirm. Inspect the item, then confirm pickup in the app. The seller gets paid out within 2 business days.
6. 48-hour buyer protection. If something's seriously wrong with the item, report it within 48 hours and we'll mediate.

Free items

Listings in the Free category don't go through checkout — just message the seller and arrange pickup. Common courtesy: respond fast, show up on time, take what you said you'd take.

Pickup vs. shipping

For now, every listing is local pickup only. We're a hyperlocal marketplace — Gig Harbor, Fox Island, Key Peninsula, Purdy, Tacoma. In V2 we'll add in-app shipping with USPS labels for items that travel.
